So I just got back from my little brothers open house and while I was there, I got the dirtiest nastiest looks from not only children but from parents and teachers. at one point while I was walking I heard a child ask his mother while looking at me and pointing “why does that lady have armpit hair? its gross”. I walked up to the child and told him, very politely, “I have it because I am not afraid to deny society image of ‘beauty’ and because 50 years ago, woman didnt shave and they were gorgeous, so why should I?” he looked at me puzzle and told me I was “gross”.

this bothers me alot because society is putting these kinds of images and thoughts into children and its not fair. I have body hair and I dont care. 

I may not be beautiful. I may not be thin. I may not be ‘perfect’. But I am Me and thats all I can be.
